Two Model Land Cruiser EVs Present In 2026 With Impressive Distance

Toyota, a Japanese automotive company, plans to expand its Land Cruiser model. In fact, the manufacturer intends to present the car under its own brand name considering that two electric-powered SUV models will be sold soon.

Previously, manufacturers signaled the presence of this model by showing off a pair of concepts with small vehicles that would target young customers and large cars for the rich.

Reporting from Carscoops, Monday, February 5, the preview of the Land Cruiser SE model as a large-dimensional model is expected to focus more on the element of comfort and become the best version after Prado J250 which will be present in North America. It is also stated that the battery will use advanced technology, such as prismatic cells that are claimed to be denser and cut production costs to cheaper.

Thus, this will make the model of the most advanced Land Cruiser' series ever. Regarding its appearance, it is reported that the car will be introduced in 2026 as well as commemorating the existence of the 75-year-old model.

Then, solid-state batteries that have leading technology will be introduced two years later and will be used by the highest version of this model by offering a distance of up to 1,000 km in a single charge.

Although Toyota is not very focused on off-road capabilities, the Land Cruiser SE offers excellent control while on footpaths. The large torque produced by electric motors should make it able to climb hills or any terrain in front of it.

As for the small version of the SUV, it is likely that this model will be based on the Compact Cruiser EV on display in 2021. Its size will resemble the bZ4X, but the main focus is on style and practicality.

Just like bZ4X, this model is expected to use the E-TNGA platform with electric motors that distribute up to 214 dk of power with a 71.4 kWh battery offering a distance of up to 417 km in one charge.

Thus, this mini version of the Land Cruiser will compete with several models in the future, such as the Land Rover Defender and the small version of G-Class with a strong display and have good performance.
