TAM Officially Presents New Hilux Double Cabin 4x4 In Indonesia

Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) presents a refresher at the Toyota Hilux Double Cabin (D-Cab) 2.44x4, making Indonesia the first country to introduce the New Hilux Double Cabin 4x4.

New Hilux Double Cabin (D-Cab) now looks more dashing as a powered commercial vehicle, suitable for all business and individual needs, to lifestyle.

"Strengthening Toyota's commitment to continue to support mobility needs by presenting ever-better cars, PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) is again conducting continuous improvements by giving a touch to Hilux Double Cabin," said Vice President Director of PT. Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Henry Tanoto, in his statement, Friday, February 2.

Henry Tanoto, added that a significant increase in retail sales of Hilux Double Cabin in 2023 to 16,976 units, from 10,707 units the previous year, became an inspiration for Toyota to provide a new touch on this vehicle.

As part of Total Mobility Solution for All, the New Hilux Double Cabin 2.44x4 gets a facelift in early 2024. The most striking changes are seen on the front, with a trapzoidal-style Black Upper Grill and dynamical honeycomb mesh, giving a strong and aggressive impression.

On the inside, type G and type V are now equipped with defoggers on the rear glass, while type E audio systems are upgraded to Premium Audio. Type V also gets additional features in the form of clearance of sensors on the front and back to make parking easier.

The 2,400 cc 2GD-FTV diesel engine that is environmentally friendly remains a mainstay, producing 147 PS power and 400 Nm torque. Type V uses 6-speed automatic transmission, while type E and G rely on 5-speed manual transmission.

Since the increase in 2020, Hilux Double Cabin 2.4 4x4 has a rearranged suspension system, creating a balance between optimal comfort and steering response. In addition, this refresher aims to increase the attractiveness of vehicles in the eyes of fleet and private customers.

Meanwhile, Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Anton Jimmi Suwandy, explained that TAM always strives to strengthen the value of the products marketed, including for commercial vehicles, one of which is represented by the New Hilux Double Cabin in the 4x4 Pick Up segment.

Regarding the price, Hilux D-Cab 2.4 E 4X4 Diesel M/T is priced at IDR 442.2 million and type G M/T is sold for IDR 475.6 million. Meanwhile, type V A/T is marketed at a price of IDR 526,550,000.

As for the color choice, the New Hilux D-Cab 2.4 4x4 consists of the Attitude Black Metallic, Dark Gray Mica Metallic, Silver Metallic, Super White II.
