JAKARTA - BYD has officially entered the electric car market in Indonesia with three models at once, including an interesting variant called BYD Seal. This model has been present in various Asian countries and has attracted the attention of many people. What are the full specifications?

Design

The front of BYD Seal follows the concept of design X with a dynamic and impressive waistline, the theme "Ocean Aesthetics" which reflects a combination of performance and style. The exterior is complemented by a headlights featuring a unique double-light cluster to create a balance and sharp impression. The shape of the back light is arranged in a dot matrix that spreads throughout the back.

The interior design is designed to create a luxurious feel with a touch of sporty to provide the dynamics of each journey. Named "Ocean Smart Comfy Cabin," the center console features a 15.6-inch multimedia touch screen with a rotation function to improve driving comfort. BYD intelligence cockpit system, which can be controlled via voice commands, adds intelligence to driving experience.

There is Windshield Head-Up Display (W-HUD) which projects information directly to the windshield, making it easier for drivers to see important information while driving. Panoramic sunset gives a broad and spacious impression in the car, adding to the luxurious impression. The entertainment feature is equipped with quality HIFI Dynaudio speakers.

Safety System

The multi-dimensional safety system involves battery security from a blaze battery, airbag, ADAS, and a 360 camera for high visibility. BYD Seal has excellent safety credentials with a 5-star rating from the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP).

Performance

BYD Seal comes with two types of driving wheels: four drivers for performance mode and two drivers for saving modes that can be adjusted according to driving needs. Very fast acceleration, 0-100km in 3.8 seconds, and a distance of up to 650 km in one battery charge.

Battery full charging becomes shorter with a charge speed of up to 150kW. The first BYD Seal model, with BYD-enhanced e-3.0 platforms and Cell-To-Body Technology (CTB), presents a revolutionary approach to battery pack integration.

Battery

BYD Seal is equipped with the latest BYD e-Platform 3.0 specifically designed for pure electric vehicles. E-Platform 3.0 benefits intelligence, efficiency, safety, and aesthetics. Blade Battery, which is part of this platform, has passed a series of extreme testing and is recognized as one of the safest batteries in the world.

Variant

BYD Seal comes in three variants for the Indonesian market, namely Dynamic Variant with a range of up to 510 km, Premium Variant with a range of up to 650 km, and Performance Variant with a range of up to 580 km. The price has not been announced.
