BYD Officially Enters The Indonesian Market, Brings Three Models At Once

JAKARTA - Build Your Dreams (BYD), one of the main actors in the global Electric Vehicle (EV) industry, today inaugurated its presence in Indonesia with the launch ceremony of brands and three of its innovative products simultaneously, namely SEAL, Atto 3, and Dolphin.

Committed to being a brand that supports the creation of an emissionless ecosystem in Indonesia, BYD has the honor of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs of Indonesia, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, and the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, who gave a speech via video recordings.

"Today is an extraordinary momentum for BYD because it is officially here for Indonesian consumers to provide a choice of innovative new energy cars that have sustainable benefits. The technology that BYD has received an extraordinary response from global consumers and we are very enthusiastic to get a positive response from automotive lovers in Indonesia," said Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia-Pacific, at the launch at TMII Jakarta, Thursday, January 18.

Three Opening Products For Indonesia

As the global leader of the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) industry, at the launch of this first brand and product, BYD introduced three cutting-edge EVs, namely, BYD Seal, BYD Atto3 and BYD Dolphin. These three products are battery-energied products that excel, are of high quality, efficient, comfortable, and environmentally friendly, and have been tested globally with a high amount of production and distribution to nearly 70 countries in the world.

Indonesia is one of the countries that is active in adopting trends, including initiatives to reduce emissions by using electric vehicles. The Indonesian government is also very responsive to support this development with the regulations issued. We see this as a positive thing and with the technological innovations we have, BYD wants to contribute to developing community behavior as part of the new energy ecosystem," said Eagle Zhao, President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia.

Furthermore, he said, starting today consumers in Indonesia have a choice of new energy vehicles that come proportionally in terms of technological innovation, design, features, quality, and prices. The presence of BYD Dolphin, BYD Atto3, and BYD Seal in Indonesia will open the doors of BYD as part of the electrification vehicle industry in Indonesia.

The presence of three EV models at the same time is BYD's way of providing choices to consumers who have their own tastes to support their mobility. This is also done as one of the strategies in building a strong market in Indonesia.
