Ford Ready To Auction First Unit Of Mustang Dark Horse, The Most Powered Mustang Model

JAKARTA - Mustang is a proud car product produced by Ford that has gone through seven different generations.

One of the most powerful 'Muscle Cars' in its class also has the most powerful variant, the Dark Horse Mustang which was created to satisfy consumer desire.

Interestingly, Ford and the American Barrett-Jackson vehicle auction house are working together again for charity purposes, this time auctioning off the first production of the 2024 Mustang Dark Horse.

Reporting from the auction page on Monday, January 15, the Mustang Dark Horse with the number VIN 001 appeared with the Blue Ember Metallic color exterior enriched in white accent, highlighting its resilience. The model is also equipped with the 'Appearance' package, adding a contrast black roof and a Notorious Blue caliber brake, providing an exclusive touch.

The legs are reinforced by a 'Handling' package, including the latest suspensions, magnetic damping, and 19-inch rims with a touch of dark color and the rubber of the Pirelli Trofeo RS. The back wing with Gurney cover also emphasizes the aggressive impression on this two-door car.

The Mustang Dark Horse interior is made luxurious with the dominance of Deep Indigo colors and a blue contrasting Recaro seat. The dashboard is equipped with a 12.4-inch digital cluster instrument display and 13.2-inch infotainment, providing a more modern driving experience.

As the leading variant, the Mustang Dark Horse is powered by a fourth generation 2.50 liter V8 Coyote engine capable of producing 500 dk and 566 Nm torque, combined with a six-acceleration manual transmission.

The car will be auctioned off on January 27, with all sales proceeds to be fully donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

Although price estimates have not been disclosed, as an illustration, the 2024 Mustang GT which was auctioned last year managed to collect donations of US$565,000 or around Rp. 8.7 billion.
