Xpeng X9 Officially Launches In China, MPV Electricity Quality At Interesting Prices

JAKARTA - The MPV market in China is now enlivened by the presence of Xpeng X9 which has just been officially launched at a price of 359,000 yuan or around Rp. 778 million. This price is actually more affordable than the pre-sale price of 388,000 yuan (Rp. 841 million).

Quoted from Carnewschina, Tuesday, December 2, this car has received orders of 30,000 units since the pre-sales period began on November 17. Xpeng X9 comes with a dashing and modern design, especially in the front fasad which is equipped with sharp lights.

In terms of dimensions, this car has a length of 5,293 mm, a width of 1,988 mm, and a height of 1,785 mm with a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. With three rows of seats, X9 can accommodate up to seven passengers.

The interior cabinet of this car is designed very luxuriously, equipped with a 17.5-inch infotainment screen, and there is also a smaller instrument LCD panel. The passenger's share is also equipped with a large screen for convenience. Another advantage is the presence of a 10.8-liter refrigerator, providing convenience for storing cold drinks at any time.

Xpeng X9's advantage lies in its autonomous driving feature and XNGP's ADAS system, which can already be used in 243 cities in China. However, the city's NGP feature is only available for Max versions equipped with lidar.

Regarding other specifications, Xpeng X9 comes with two choices of powertrains, namely front-wheel drive (FWD) with 235 kW motors, and all-wheel drive (AWD) with an additional 135 kW rear motor. The maximum total output reaches 370 kW with a torque of 640 Nm. This minivan is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour in 5.7 seconds, with the highest speed reaching 200 km/hour.

In addition, X9 offers two battery options, first with an 84.5 kWh package made from lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemicals from Eve Energy, and the second with 101.5 kWh packages made from NMC ternerized from CALIB. X9 supports 800V charging and is equipped with 3C battery cells, allowing for an additional 300 km of range within 10 minutes. With a specific combination of machines/batteries, Xpeng X9 can reach CLTC of 610 km, 640 km, and 702 km.
