Toyota Will Present GR Yaris Automatic Transmission Early 2024

JAKARTA - Toyota Gazoo Racing (GR) Yaris received a warm welcome after its inaugural launch in 2021, and the manufacturer will soon take advanced steps for more interested people.

Quoted from the Carscoops page, Monday, December 25, early next year at the Tokyo Auto Salon, the brand will reportedly reveal a hot hatch version equipped with automatic transmission.

As is known, GR Yaris is currently offered exclusively with a manual transmission of six accelerations. However, Toyota has been working on an eight-new speed transmission called GR-DAT, or Auto-Auto-Transmission, which is believed to provide a fairly interesting experience for drivers.

The automatic transmission model has been used in the prototype of the GR Yaris racing car, which is predicted to be interesting.

According to a report from Mag X Japan, the car production model will be named GR Yaris RZ-H, which will be displayed at the Tokyo Auto Salon, which will take place from 12-14 January 2024.

Speaking of specifications, currently GR Yaris comes with a manual transmission option of only six accelerations. This car is equipped with a three-cylindrical 1,618 cc engine capable of producing 257 Tk of power and torques of up to 390 Nm.

In addition to the automatic version of the Yaris GR, Toyota is also reportedly working on two limited edition models to celebrate its recent success at the World Reli Championships or the Ogeri Edition and Rovenpara Edition, which are named according to the name of the rally racer who helped develop the race.

The two will be introduced ahead of the 2024 Monte Carlo rally, which will take place from January 24 to 28, and will be limited to 100 units per unit.
