Cyberster Already, MG Will Also Release MG4 XPower For Philippine Market

JAKARTA - After releasing Cyberster for the Philippine market, Morris Garage (MG) will also introduce MG4 XPower, MG's high-performance electric vehicle (EV) in the country.

According to a Top Gear Philippines report, Wednesday, October 6, the hatchback-style car is already in the Philippines and is seen parked covered in greenish gray or Hunter Green with a more sporting and aggressive appearance when compared to the standard version.

The difference in the XPower version with the standard is the presence of 18-inch pullers' with a larger disc brake and an orange Kaliper. This car is also equipped with a trajectory control that helps the driver to accelerate smoothly. There is also a Track Mode display that displays driving info such as energy distribution, speed/time, g-style, and steering angle at the inside of the vehicle.

As a high performance version of the MG4 EV, XPower is equipped with a dual electric motor that powers 429 dk and 600 Nm torque, making it the largest MG car with the current power.

With an impressive four-wheel drive system, the MG4 EV XPower is able to reach speeds of 0-100 km/hour within 3.8 seconds.

MG still uses the same battery as the Long Range variant in XPower, with a capacity of 62 kWh. However, due to the focus on power, the power range must be reduced from 452 km to 384 km.

With such a battery capacity, MG4 XPower can charge quickly from 10-80 percent within 35 minutes with a charging capacity of 150 kW.

Unfortunately, the MG did not disclose the price of this vehicle for the Philippine market. In the UK, this car is offered at a competitive price of 36,495 pounds, or around IDR 696.9 million and this model can be ordered since July.

Further information, the manufacturer said that MG4 XPower will be present in the Philippines in the first half of 2024.
