Long Awaited, Tesla Officially Launches Cybertruck

JAKARTA - After a long wait, Tesla finally launched a Cybertruck at the Gigafactory in Austin, Texas. The show was broadcast live on social media X, a milestone for the company.

Diketahui dari laman X Tesla, Jumat, 1 Desember, salah satu fitur menonjol dari Cybertruck adalah bodi baja taknya. Selain itu, Cybertruck diklaim memiliki utilitas yang lebih baik dibandingkan truk dengan kinerja lebih tinggi atau mobil sport. Hal ini bukan tanpa alasan karena menggunakan bahan premium seperti Exoskeleton yang tidak dapat diperobus serta Ultra Hard 30X Cold-Rolled Stainless Steel yang memiliki daya dukungan yang super kuat.

Meanwhile, behind its very attractive design, the Cybertruck is equipped with an 800-volt electric architecture and a tri-motor version called Cyberbeast can accelerate from 0 to 97 km/hour in just 2.6 seconds. In addition, the vehicle has the highest speed of up to 209 km/hour, and offers a payload capacity of 1,134 kg.

Tesla has equipped the Cybertruck with a steering-by-wire system that adjusts the steering wheel's rotation by vehicle speed. The rear wheel steering and the back torque vector improve maneuverability, providing a smaller circle of rotation than the Model S.

There is also a touch screen in the middle measuring 18.5 inches, and is equipped with a 9.4-inch secondary screen for rear passengers.

Interestingly, Tesla offers three versions of the Cybertruck, consisting of high-performance RWD, AWD, and Cyberbeast. The RWD model is projected to reach 97 km/hour in 6.5 seconds, with a range of 402 km. The AWD variant produces 600k capable of accelerating up to 97 km/hour in 3.9 seconds and covers a distance of 547 km. In addition, the Cyberbeast reach is 515 km.

However, Tesla is offering an optional expander range that could increase the AWD version's reach to 756 km and Cyberbeast to 708 km.

The bad news is the price offered, quoted from Carbuzz and ArenaEV, the price is even far from what Elon Musk promised some time ago with a range of 37,000 euros or Rp632 million. In fact, the RWD model was priced at 56,830 euros or around Rp957 million, the AWD version reached 74,540 euros or Rp1.2 billion, and Cyberbeast came at a base price of 93,180 or Rp1.5 billion.

For those looking for adventure, Tesla offers additional unique accessories in the form of Cybertruck Basecamp tent equipment, which is priced at 2,772 euros or around Rp46 million.

Tesla provides basic vehicle guarantees for four years or 80,500 km, while the batteries and driving units both remain on the line for eight years or 241,400 km.
