Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680, New Electric SUV Worth Almost IDR 3 Billion

JAKARTA - Following the work of its parent company, Mercedes-Maybach officially heads to a fully electric segment by presenting an EQS 680 SUV model. This car is called the first EV model to be launched by the brand.

The EQS 680 SUV is a luxury SUV with a large battery capacity and has tremendous reach. But this car also has a very luxurious design with many high-end features.

Reporting from InsideEVs, Tuesday, October 24, the SUV is equipped with a high-end feature that makes driving experience more comfortable and luxurious. Among them are advanced entertainment and navigation systems, high-quality sound systems, and chairs that can be arranged electrically with cooling and heating systems.

Customers can also choose a number of paint colors, including five two-tone combinations: Cirus Silver/Obsidian Black, Cirus Silver/Nautical Blue, Obsidian Black/Seleite Gray, Obsidian Black/Manufactur Kalahari Gold and Sonoran Brown/Onyx Black.

In addition to having a luxurious appearance, the EQS 680 SUV has a strong electric motor performance and is capable of providing 649 dk of power and 949 Nm of torque. This car is also equipped with a four-wheel drive that provides strong and stable traction.

In addition, this car also has fast charging capabilities. Users can charge the car battery at a peak speed of 200 kW when plugging into the DC charger. With this it can recharge the battery in 31 minutes or for a distance of 220 km (WLTP) it is enough to fill in 15 minutes.

However, if it is not near the fast charger, EQS can also be plugmed into the AC charger but it will take quite a while to charge 12.75 hours.

Recently, the German company inaugurated the market price for the model. The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV is priced at 179,900 US dollars or equivalent to Rp. 2.8 billion, making it one of the most expensive cars from this luxury brand. This value does not include shipping costs of 1,150 US dollars (around Rp. 18.3 million).
