Toyota Yaris Receives Refreshment For Malaysian Market

JAKARTA - Toyota Yaris is experiencing an update to the Malaysian market with improvements that make it even more interesting. This hatchback is now present in two different variants, namely 1,5E and 1,5G, each with unique flagship features.

Launching Paultan, Monday, September 18, these two variants are equipped with LED headlights equipped with follow-me-home features and manual level adjustments, as well as LED rearlight. Both are also equipped with acoustic windshields, LED fog light on the front, halogen fog light on the back, automatic foldable rearview mirror with indicators, and 16-inch rims with 195/50 tires.

The inside of these two variants offers a black cloth seat with a foldable back seat with a ratio of 60:40, an Optitron instrument panel with a multi-information screen of 4.2 inches, as well as a Sport and Eco driving mode, which can be adjusted according to the buyer's preferences. Not only that, Yaris is also equipped with a lit plate to provide a more modern touch of comfort.

This new Yaris also boasts that 9-inch integrated infotainment systems support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly, while wireless charging for users' handheld devices is also available. For charging via cable, there is one USB-A port at the front and two USB-C ports for passengers at the back.

The main difference between these two variants lies in the pressneling lever and steering wheel. The 1.5E variant uses theuretan material for the persneling lever kenop, while the 1.5G variant uses the skin material. Variant E still uses AC manual, while variant G adopts automatic AC. Type E also has a simpler audio system with four speakers, while type G is equipped with six speakers.

Security is a priority, and both are equipped with a number of standard safety features, including Pre-Collition System, Lane Departure Alert, 3D Panoramic View Monitor, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, ABS, VSC, Track Control, Hill Start Assist, now standard DVR front, Emergency Stop Signal, Automatic Door Locks, and seven airbags.

These two variants are powered by a 2NR-FE engine with a capacity of 1,496 cc, with a fresh 4-cylinder configuration that works without turbochargers. This machine is capable of generating 105 dk of power and 140 Nm of torque, which is channeled through CVT transmission with shiftmatic mode that simulates seven accelerations.

With this update, the latest Yaris can be purchased starting from 88,000 ringgit or around Rp. 288.4 million for the 1.5E type, while the 1.5G type is valued at around 91,000 ringgit or around Rp. 298.3 million. With this increase, the price of the two Yaris variants rose by 4,700 ringgit and 4,000 ringgit (around Rp. 15 million and Rp. 13 million) compared to the previous model.
