Mercedes Gives Hints For The Latest CLA Concept, Has A Distance Of More Than 750 Km

JAKARTA - Ahead of the latest automotive event in Germany, namely the 2023 IAA Mobility or commonly called the 2023 Munich Motor Show, Mercedes gave a small signal about the concept car to be launched in the near future.

Mercedes-Benz is one of the automotive manufacturers that will not stop presenting the latest electrification line that will be launched in the near future.

The car was confirmed as the concept version of CLA. The CLA model is a class of Mercedes-Benz frontlines over the years. This car will also complement the German manufacturer's electrification segment.

Head of Management from the Mercedes-Benz Group, Ola Kallenius, said that the CLA concept was the start of the first fully new electric vehicle journey by increasing the luxurious offering in this segment.

"All of these models are designed to fulfill one mission: redefinition each aspect of what customers can expect in this format," Ola said in a statement, Friday, September 1.

The CLA concept car is the first model to be built on the latest platform developed by Mercedes, the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA).

With the presence of the new CLA and platform, this marks the next step for manufacturers to go further towards the world of electrification in the future. This car will use a very efficient driving system derived from Vision EQXX.

According to Mercedes-Benz claims, the concept of the Mercedes-Benz CLA is referred to as "Hypermier" because it has a very distance of more than 750 km according to the WLTP cycle and consumes 12 kWh/100 km of energy.

In addition, Mercedes also reveals a little picture of the emergence of this concept. This latest CLA concept shows its nose with the front displayed that resembles the Mercedes-Benz star logo.

Although not much can be said, the latest Mercedes CLA concept has the latest design and luxury language.

With the launch of the model, the preview version of the CLA will join the ranks of other electric-powered concept cars such as Vision EQXX and Vision One-Eleven.

This makes Mercedes even more stable in producing more EV cars by 2025.

Not only that, it is stated that three other luxury models will be introduced by Mercedes in the next three years as part of the restructuring of the compact car lineup under the Electric First strategy.
