Sold In Australia Renault Megan E-Tech Offered At A Cheaper Price Than Indonesia

JAKARTA - French car manufacturer Renault officially introduced one of the electric car lines Megane E-Tech, to the Australian market. The launch of this sporty-style electric SUV with European characteristics is expected to enrich the electric vehicle market in the land of Kangaroos.

Looking at the exterior, Renault has put on a narrow light that runs from the right end to the left, with the design flowing down as if to be united with the front grille. The striking Renault logo in the middle confirms the identity of this car.

On the interior, Renault offers comfort by installing an integrated 12.3-inch display with a 9-inch multimedia OpenR display, complete with navigation features.

There are various other interesting features, including Harman Kardon audio system with five soundscapes and quantum logic surround technology. This car is also equipped with a smart operating system connected to Google, heat pump, and a 3D around view camera. In terms of safety, Megane E-Tech is equipped with an advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) with 22 functions.

Reporting from Carscoops, Friday, August 25, Renault will offer one variant of Megane E-Tech in the Australian market. This electric hatchback is powered by an electric motor measuring 215 hp on the front with a torque of 300 Nm and four regenerative braking levels.

With this impressive power, this five-door hatchback is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h within 7.5 seconds.

In the Australian market, Renault Megane E-Tech uses a 60 kWh lithium-ion battery with a 400V voltage that supports DC fast charging of up to 130 kW. The manufacturer claims that to reach a distance of 300 km, Megane E-Tech only takes 30 minutes of charging with a DC charging system.

Apart from being environmentally friendly, Renault Megane E-Tech has an energy consumption efficiency of around 15.6 kWh per 100 km. This allows this car to cover a distance of up to 454 km in one charge.

Renault Megane E-Tech will be sold in Australia at a price of 64,990 Australian dollars, around Rp. 638.4 million. This price is more competitive than competitors such as Kia Niro S EV which sells for 66,590 Australian dollars, or around Rp654 million.

With this selling value, Renault Megane E-Tech in Australia has a lower price than the price in Indonesia. Prestige Renault Indonesia (PRI) sold this hatchback at a price of Rp1.37 billion On The Road Jakarta.
