VW ID.7 Opens Pre-Sales Of Pro Variants At A Price Of More Than IDR 900 Million

JAKARTA - German vehicle manufacturer Volkswagen has officially entered the European auto market with advanced technology and impressive driving range, after announcing the start of its recent production.

One member of the VW electric vehicle line, known as "ID.", has started its pre-sales stage after receiving a significant amount of demand thanks to its technology.

Imelda Labbe, Marketing and Sales Leader of VW Group, revealed that the global response to ID.7 was extraordinary as a premium VW electric car.

"The new ID.7 will amaze our customers around the world thanks to its wide range, fast charging, extensive interior, and intuitive interface. This model sets new standards for Volkswagen premium electric cars," Imelda said in a statement, Thursday, August 24.

This electric-powered sedan has a wide dimension, with a length of 4,961 mm, a width of 1,862 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,966 mm.

In it, the ID.7 is equipped with augmented reality head-up technology that simplifies instrument clusters by displaying important information such as driving speed and other warnings. This technology also provides information about road lanes, distances, and speed limits. Drivers can set the information they want to be displayed on the HUD through steering control.

The 15-inch infotainment system is also installed in the middle of the dashboard. This touch screen is used to regulate the temperature in the cabin and audio volume of the vehicle. ID.7 is equipped with the latest navigation system from VW, namely Discover Pro Max.

To support these features, VW ID.7 is equipped with a variety of standard auxiliary systems, including Travel Assist, Lane Assist, Emergency Assist, Side Assist, Near Traffic Alert, Exit Warning System, and Area View which includes a rear camera system.

Pre-sales of VW ID.7 started with the Pro variant, which has an initial price of 0556,995 or around Rp938 million.

This car is built on the VW Group platform known as MEB, with electric motors as a driving system at the back that produces up to 285 dk of power and a 545 Nm peak torque.

The Pro variant is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 82 kWh which is able to cover a distance of up to 621 km according to the WLTP range. VW ID.7 has an extraordinary level of energy consumption efficiency with an energy consumption of around 14-16 kWh per 100 km.

However, the highest variant of this car will be Pro S, having a battery with a capacity of 91 kWh which provides a longer distance of up to 700 km in one charge.
