Just Launched, All-New Honda CR-V Reaches Ordering Rate Of Up To 840 Units

JAKARTA - Launched for the first time at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), All-New Honda CR-V immediately received a positive response thanks to the design and technology updates it has applied.

Positive responses from consumers in Indonesia can be seen from the number of orders that occur in one week. PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) as APM Honda car claims that the sixth generation of Honda CR-V has received orders of 840 units throughout Indonesia.

Of the total, the RS e: HEV variant produces the largest number of orders, with 633 units or 75 percent of the total. While the CR-V Turbo variant accounts for 25 percent, which is 207 units.

Yusak Billy, Director of Sales & Marketing and Purna Selling PT HPM, expressed his gratitude to Honda customers who have trusted this product and ordered a hybrid variant, even before this car was available on the dealers' network.

"Until now, the number of bookings has been very encouraging and has even exceeded half the CR-V allocation for this year. We hope that the launch of new models and major exhibitions like GIIAS will again give a new spirit to the automotive market this year," Billy said in a statement on Thursday, August 17.

Since it was first launched in the US in 2022, All New Honda CR-V has received a positive response in the global market due to its design and technology.

With the theme "Ahead in Perfection", the sixth generation of CR-V comes as a premium SUV in Indonesia with elegant and luxurious designs. Not only that, this SUV offers ride comfort with more impressive performance than ever before.

The initial variant of Honda CR-V 2024 is equipped with a 1.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine which produces up to 187 dk of power and 243 Nm of torque. This variant is available in two-wheeled driving systems (2WD) and all wheels (AWD).

Meanwhile, the hybrid variant, the Honda CR-V e: HEV RS, is equipped with a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder Atkinson Cycle DOHC engine that collaborates with two electric motors, produces up to 204 dk of power and 335 Nm of torque, and a 1.06 kWh of lithium-ion battery.

In e:HEV systems, All-New CR-V can operate in three driving modes: EV Mode, Hybrid Mode, and Engine Mode which automatically changes according to road conditions, driving style, engine load, and more.

Honda Sensing technology was also introduced to meet customer needs, including Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow (ACC with LSF), Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW), Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Auto High Beam (AHB).

The All-New CR-V is also equipped with eight airbags at the front, side and bottom to protect the knee and reduce the risk of injury in the event of an accident. The latest CR-V also has Active Cornering Light which helps drivers see objects up front as they turn.

Honda also introduced the "Honda Connect" feature for the first time in Indonesia, where the All-New CR-V became the first model to bring it.

Honda Connect is a state-of-the-art connectivity technology that combines three main values: convenience, safety, and security. This allows Honda car owners to safely and comfortably use various features in this system.

For variants with 1.5 L turbo engines, they are sold for IDR 739.9 million (OTR Jakarta). Meanwhile, the 2.0 L variant or All New CR-V Hybrid is sold for IDR 799.9 million (OTR Jakarta).
