Puan Maharani Receives Mahaputera Adipradana Star In Today's Memory, November 11, 2020

JAKARTA Memories of today, five years ago, November 11, 2020, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conferred the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), Puan Maharani Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana. The award was given because Puan was considered to have contributed greatly to the nation and state.

Previously, Puan was considered lucky to live in a political family. He is the grandson of Soekarno and the son of Megawati Soekarnoputri. This condition made him able to achieve high political positions, from ministers to the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

Puan only dared to run for the people's representative in the 2009 election. The result was satisfactory for him to be a member of the DPR. Puan was then elected as chairman of the PDIP faction in the DPR in 2012-2014. Later when PDIP brought Jokowi in the 2014 presidential election, Puan seemed to have collapsed durian.

Jokowi won and became President of Indonesia. As a result, like the winning party, PDIP received a large portion to propose the name of more than one ministerial candidate. Puan was also included in the list. Jokowi appointed Puan as Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture since 2014.

Fate actually brought Puan as the Speaker of the DPR in 2019. This career made Puan's name even higher and discussed a lot. Pros and cons are certain to exist. However, President Jokowi saw that Puan had contributed to the nation and state when she became a minister.

As a result, Jokowi also conferred Puan Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana at the State Palace on November 11, 2020. Puan was also happy that she didn't play. He considered the award as a trigger so that he would continue to be enthusiastic about serving the community, nation and state.
