Ma'ruf Amin Urges Parents To Face Stunting Not Only Tawakal In Today's Memory, October 6, 2022

JAKARTA Memories of today, three years ago, October 6, 2022, Vice President (wapres), Ma'ruf Amin appealed to parents not only to face stunting. Ma'ruf believes stunting can be prevented if handled properly. Parents must provide nutritious food to their children.

Previously, the problem of chronic connection disorders or stunting never really disappeared from Indonesia. Poverty is the estuary. This condition makes parents unable to provide sufficient nutrition. Stunting so it spreads everywhere.

Citra Indonesia has abundant natural wealth, not just empty messages. Many food ingredients are easy to grow in the motherland. In fact, some of them can become a source of food that meets the nutrition of children throughout Indonesia.

The research revealed that the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia was 27.67 percent. This means that this figure is considered quite serious. President Jokowi immediately took a stand. He asked his staff to immediately launch a stunting reduction target of 14 percent by 2024.

Jokowi's ranks agree that the estuary of stunting is poverty. They think that eradicating poverty will definitely reduce stunting. Parents can fulfill all kinds of children's nutrition in 1,000 days of life.

Newborn babies are given an exclusive asia for six months. Then after six months of being given companion food. The rest of children must be given high nutritious food.

All of this can be done if the family's economy improves. This condition is also supported by the government which must be active in socializing stunting cases.

"Indeed, not all poor children are stunted. But most stunting is caused by poverty. And because of that poverty must be handled. This is very important. Therefore, we are trying not to increase the number of poor families."

"I really believe that the cost of stunting management will be cheaper if prevention is prioritized. The problem of stunting has also caught the attention of Ma'ruf Amin. The vice president considers stunting as a consequence of parental care for his child in the first 1,000 days of life not meeting the child's nutrition. Once the parenting is not used properly, the result can be stunted.

The Vice President who is also the Head of the Steam Reduction Acceleration Team urged parents not to be tawakal (couple) in dealing with stunting. Tawakal is considered important in Islam. However, the tawakal in question is not without effort.

Parents must first try to provide nutritious food to their children. Fill the nutritional rations. The results can be seen at a later date.
