Chronology Of Jon Bon Jovi Exposure To COVID-19 To Cancel Concert

JAKARTA - Singer Jon Bon Jovi announced that he was exposed to COVID-19. The announcement was made to audiences at his Miami Beach concert on Saturday, October 30. Jon Bon Jovi was supposed to be one of the performers at the concert, but his attendance was cancelled.

A week before the event, the concert organizers through social media were still promoting the presence of Bon Jovi. "Our trip to see JON BON JOVI is only a week away! We still have a few places left to join us at Miami Beach, October 29 – 31. You will get a familiar acoustic storyteller performance and be part of Jon's Q&A," wrote the account @runwaystours via Instagram.

Even though Jon Bon Jovi did not appear, TV station WSVN claimed that the backing group that accompanied the musicians continued to perform after they tested negative for COVID-19. The 59-year-old singer is in good condition but was unable to perform because the PCR test he underwent showed positive results.

Jon Bon Jovi's representatives responded to the sudden announcement. They said the show was just an acoustic concert held in an intimate setting for their loyal fans. In the show, Jon was accompanied by a band called King of Suburbia.

"So, this show is not a Bon Jovi concert. So when Jon can't attend, the band keeps going without him," said the musician's representative.

Jon Bon Jovi himself once campaigned for the importance of wearing masks before being infected with COVID-19. In an interview with Sky News, he said that masks are one way to suppress the spread of the Corona COVID-19 virus.

He also added that obeying the health protocols is an effort by the community to respect and take care of each other. "You just have to stick a cloth to your nose. It's not a big sacrifice, is it?"

"Think of masks as part of fashion accessories. So you won't feel burdened by wearing them," concluded Jon Bon Jovi.
