Healed From Cancer, Ari Lasso Returns To Music With Angels It's Real

JAKARTA - Singer Ari Lasso ended his musical vacuum by releasing a new song titled Angel That's Real today, October 1st. With this song, Ari Lasso again still chooses the theme of love as a form of affection for the people around him.

"This song is very related to me and everyone. We all have people who have contributed more than just the people we love, we love and even being our helpers are like angels to us," said Ari Lasso at a virtual press conference on Friday, October 1.

Angels Are Real created by Ahmad Fredy and arranged by Tohpati. Just released this year, in fact Ari Lasso has heard this song since three years ago.

"The weight of the notation and the lyrics is high. From the beginning (heard) it was… this song is crazy,” said Ari Lasso with enthusiasm.

The release process encountered obstacles. Ari planned to release this song in February but in January, he contracted the covid virus. Likewise when shooting his music video in Yogyakarta.

“Want to start shooting video clips in Yogyakarta but started PPKM. Postponed until August 4th shooting schedule but I'm sick. At that time, even though I had taken a shower, MUA was already at home but suddenly I was sick and went to the hospital," he explained.

This song is Ari Lasso's latest release after being absent from music for almost half a decade. He had released two songs in 2019 but the theme was different from Ari Lasso's other works.

During his vacuum, Ari was diagnosed with cancer until his spleen was removed. Now he is ready to sing again.

"In the past, there wasn't an industrial single. The 2019 song was about the election and then there was something about Covid. The love theme song hasn't been around for a long time," he said.
