Scarlett Johansson And Disney End Black Widow Lawsuit

JAKARTA - Actress Scarlett Johansson and Disney have agreed to end the conflict over the profits of the Black Widow film. Two months after suing Disney, Johansson and the entertainment company reportedly chose the amicable path.

“I am happy to have resolved the conflict with Disney. I feel proud of what we've been working on over the years and enjoy my creative relationship with the team", said Scarlett Johansson citing by PEOPLE, October 1.

"I look forward to our collaboration for years to come", she concluded.

Alan Bergman as Head of Disney Studios also said the same thing. "We appreciate her contribution to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and look forward to working with her on new projects including Disney's Tower of Terror", he said.

Previously, Johansson sued Disney for violating the contract regarding the screening of Black Widow. He claims Disney promises an exclusive release in theaters and pays based on box office profits.

However, because the release of Black Widow was split in two: cinema and Disney+, Johansson said the profit he received was much smaller than predicted.

Black Widow is Johansson's first solo film after joining the MCU in more than 10 years. The film grossed $378 million worldwide.
