JAKARTA - Actor Daniel Craig felt emotional while giving a short farewell speech to his friends in the crew of the upcoming James Bond film, No Time To Die.

No Time To Die will be Craig's last film to play a Bond agent.

"A lot of people here worked on five (Bond) films with me, and I know there's a lot to be said about what I think about these films or all of them, whatever," Craig said, quoted by Antara from Deadline, Sunday.

"But I love every second of these films, and especially this one, because I wake up every morning and I have the opportunity to work with you guys. And it's one of the greatest honors of my life."

The video was reportedly shot in 2019, but surfaced and went viral recently.

Craig has appeared in five Bond films, right behind Sean Connery and Roger Moore, who played the role of 007 seven times each.

No Time to Die, apart from Craig, also features various well-known film players such as Jeffrey Wright, Rami Malek, Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, and Naomie Harris.

The film, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, was delayed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Many see Bond's box office shows as a barometer of the international cinema business that has not fully bounced back to pre-COVID-19 times. With virus infection rates rising in many parts of the world, there are fears that cinemas will be closed again as they were last fall.

However, No Time To Die is scheduled to arrive on the big screens in the United States on October 8.
