JAKARTA - SM Entertainment opened its first branch store in Vietnam. Thursday, July 9, reported by VNExpress, South Korea's largest agency will set up a SMTown Store in the Ho Chi Minh area, Vietnam.

This shop in Vietnam will be the first overseas branch created by SM. Reportedly, the official opening will take place in the fourth half of 2020.

SMTown Store is a shop that sells albums and artist trinkets under Lee Soo Man's agency. Not only shops, SMTown also has an SMTown Cafe where the menu and food available are dominated by the colors and profiles of SM Entertainment idols.

In Indonesia, SM Entertainment established an SM Entertainment Indonesia office in Jalan Sudirman, Jakarta. Different from the SMTown Store, this office has a photobooth facility, a signed discography gallery, and an audition room.

SM Entertainment is home to K-pop idols such as TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls Generation, SHINee, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT and many others.

The development of the hallyu wave that dominated the Asian continent was then felt by Vietnam. Evidently, every Ginseng Country artist or idol visits the country, the response is very high and positive. This has become the target market for agencies to develop their business.

The 2019 survey held by HCMC in 2019 proved that the Vietnamese people love K-pop (Korean pop) music as much as 51 percent and 68 percent like South Korean television series.

Now fans can buy SM artists' albums and merchandise by going to Vietnam. Are you interested in visiting it?
