JAKARTA - The design company that handled the NCT 127 teaser concept wrote an apology after being suspected of plagiarizing the poster of an American rock band.
It is known that NCT 127 will release their latest album titled STICKER. Several teaser photos were released earlier this week.
Tuesday, August 24, the American rock band Downtown Boys saw a poster in one of the photos of NCT 127 that looked like their poster in 2016. NCT 127 also did not give credit for the origin of the poster.

The next day, the design company that handled the concept apologized to the Downtown Boys.
"We apologize to the Downtown Boys and their graphic designers for modifying and using their poster without permission", the statement read, cited from SportsdongA.

They explained that they were asked to put various artworks for the concept of a student's room. One company employee who loves the Downtown Boys suggested a poster of his favorite band to be extended.
“Through the modification process, they thought the graphics would match the original. However, this caused harm to the Downtown Boys and the original artwork".
