Apink's Jung Eunji Becomes Cameo In Backstreet Rookie

JAKARTA - Jung Eunji from K-pop group Apink will appear as a cameo in the latest Korean drama Backstreet Rookie. This news is known from the still cut photos that were shared by SBS television channel on Tuesday, June 16.

Through this photo, Eunji is seen opposite Choi Dae Hyun, starring Ji Chang Wook. The two of them sat facing each other in a cafe. From their facial expressions, they seemed enthusiastic about talking about something.

Eunji will play Ko Kyu Pil, a YouTuber who meets Choi Dae Hyun. It is not known what brings them together, but the photos can tempt the audience with Backstreet Rookie. Apart from Eunji, actor Kim Min Kyu will also make a cameo appearance.

Eunji hasn't played acting in a long time. The last time he played in the drama Untouchable was in 2018.The singer of Hopefully Sky is known after playing Sung Shi-won in Reply 1997 in 2012.

Backstreet Rookie is SBS's newest drama, starring Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung. Adapted from a webtoon, this drama tells of the relationship between supermarket owner Choi Dae Hyun (Ji Chang Wook) and Jung Saet Byeol (Kim Yoo Jung), a former bully who now works as a part-time employee.

Besides Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung, Backstreet Rookie is played by Han Sun Hwa, Do Sang-woo, Kim Sun-young, Lee Byung joon, Ahn Solbin, Kyeong Miri, and many others.

Previously, singer Kang Daniel was confirmed to be the first singer to fill the Backstreet Rookie soundtrack (OST). SBS also announced that apart from Kang Daniel, there are Punch, Kim Tae Woo god, Colde, Block B's Park Kyung and Seola WJSN, April and Rothy's group.

Jung Eunji will appear on the first episode of Backstreet Rookie on June 19 at 10 p.m. South Korean time.
