Voicing For Body Positivity, Marshanda Uploads Fat Photos Without Editing

JAKARTA - Actress Marshanda uploaded the latest photos on Instagram in order to carry out a body positivity campaign.

She admitted that at first, she found it difficult to choose photos to upload on social media. Not for editing reasons, but because she was tempted to comment on every photo taken.

“Should we be the number one person who judges ourselves as ugly? How cruel is it that we have to be with ourselves? Why don't we be best friends with ourselves instead?”, she said.

“My Body is Perfect and I Love It” became the theme of Marshanda's campaign. She didn't make any edits before uploading the photos.

"I'm so happy to accept myself, my body shape as it is, and opening up to the world about my insecurities and turning them into confidence. I also strengthen many people to stop self-hating and start self-loving", she said with a photo wearing a pink blouse.

Through this campaign, Marshanda hopes that more and more people will do self-love or love themselves. The photoshoot was also done as an effort to make herself happy.
