JAKARTA - Actress Cinta Laura is back acting in WeTV's latest series with Hitmaker Studios, Sleeping with the Enemy. Through the latest project, she plays two characters, namely Aruna and Clara.
Sleeping With the Enemy tells the story of a woman who takes revenge after being manipulated and imprisoned for 20 years. The series will be played by Cinta Laura, Randy Martin, Anthony Xie, and Ersya Aurelia.
"Here my role is actually two: Aruna Wirawan and when she is in revenge mode, her name is Clara. I'm so happy to be a part of this project," said Cinta Laura in a press conference for the series in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, July 15.
This series directed by Rizal Mantovani presents two drastic characters. Various layers will be shown by Cinta in terms of emotions to physical differences.
"Clara and Aruna are two very different characters. If Aruna is perhaps after a bad incident, she is a little impulsive, full of hurt, full of anger and disappointment. While Clara is a very strategic, calculating, woman who is able to hold all the emotions in her heart. She thinks before she moves," he continued.
"Physically, subliminally, I can show that emptiness, that disappointment, that pain, even that disgust maybe? But on the one hand, outside the package as Clara, she looks fine and enjoys it all. That duality is a challenge that I hope, with the guidance of Mas Rizal and the interaction I have with the cast (players), can be realized," said Cinta Laura.
Cinta continued, to prepare for these two characters, he made a 41-page note containing the differences between Aruna and Clara. He was also enthusiastic because the scenes were quite intimate and there was an intimate coordinator who made the shooting environment comfortable.
"In this project, I made 41 pages of notes about the characters Aruna and Clara. Where each episode has 4 to 5 pages of notes. So I really delve into the characters Aruna and Clara. This is my first series where I do scenes that can be said to be quite intimate and yes, maybe even sexy. But, we use an intimacy coordinator. We have also workshop intimate scenes, and everything has been agreed on what we are comfortable and uncomfortable with," said Arya Vasco's lover.
"And again, with the male actors (Randy Martin and Anthony Xie) who are very respectful, communicative, and kind, I personally don't feel worried about the intimate and sexy scenes. In fact, I feel that the scenes will enrich and strengthen the plot of Sleeping with the Enemy," said Cinta Laura.
Meanwhile, the production of the series "Sleeping With the Enemy" will soon begin and is planned to be released through WeTV.
