JAKARTA - The case of alleged abuse that dragged the name of Erin, Andre Taulany's ex-wife, with a former House Assistant (ART) named Herawati alias Hera, has now entered a new phase.

Hera's lawyer, Deolipa Yumara, revealed a significant change in the Examination Report (BAP) of one of the key witnesses, Nur Rohmah.

This latest development was revealed after the reporting party coordinated with investigators at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

According to Deolipa, the inconsistency of Nur's testimony was actually a crucial point that benefited his client's position legally.

"There is one key clue, namely there is information from Nur that has changed. So if before the time at the first BAP, Nur's statement was A, in the second BAP, the statement was the negation of A. So it's the opposite," said Deolipa when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Friday, June 12.

Deolipa assessed that Nur's change of testimony provided a fresh wind for the ongoing investigation process. However, his party chose to still respect all legal stages and wait for the results of the in-depth material conducted by the police investigation team.

"This is beneficial for Hera. In substance it is beneficial for Hera, right. But then we still consider this case to be a case that is still on the track in the investigation area. So we wait for the future, because there will be a deepening of the material later," said Deolipa.

Not only about the contradictory statements, Deolipa also highlighted the submission of additional evidence related to the psychological condition submitted by the witness Nur on June 9. This new evidence was responded positively by Deolipa because it was considered to further strengthen the legal argument of Herawati as the initial reporter in this case.

"What he brought about the psychological condition, of course, is beneficial for Hera herself as a reporter. So there are several documents brought by Nur, which his lawyer may not tell. But because we just coordinated (with the police), we can tell the story," said Deolipa.

Furthermore, Deolipa emphasized that the legal dispute between his client and the reported party would continue to roll in the police until it culminated in court, unless both parties agreed to take a peaceful path. He urged all parties to follow the legal procedures cooperatively.

"Because they have reported to each other, of course the case is going on. Before there was peace, this case was going on. Who will be the first to be tried, we don't know. But before there was peace, this case was going on. Follow the track of the procedure for handling cases," said Deolipa.

He also hopes that this case, which has captured the public's attention, can be resolved with a cool head by all parties involved in order to achieve true justice.

"If it is handled wisely, it will end well. If it is not handled wisely, it may even go to this trial. What does that mean? It means I wear a toga, in court," concluded Deolipa jokingly.

For information, the dispute between Erin and Herawati first surfaced after the former ART officially reported the alleged act of persecution to the South Jakarta Metro Police.

Responding to the report, Erin then filed a counter-report against Herawati for alleged defamation and slander.

Until now, the two conflicting reports are still being investigated by law enforcement officers.
