JAKARTA - Creativity is one of the abilities that young people continue to need. Various new ideas are born from the hands of students, ranging from innovative products, research works, to solutions that answer the needs of the community.
Not only developing in the classroom, this creativity also needs a platform to be introduced to the public and tested directly through interaction with the community.
This spirit is visible in the implementation of the Ganesha Business Festival (GBF) 2026 which was held by students of the School of Business and Management of the Bandung Institute of Technology (SBM ITB) at the Summarecon Mall Bandung, May 30, 2026.
This event is the culmination of a series of GBF 2026 activities that have taken place since January. Under the theme "Human Edge: The Power Beyond Technology", this festival presents various works, innovations, and research results of students which show that behind the progress of technology, creativity and human thinking still play an important role in creating change.
More than just an exhibition, GBF 2026 is a collaborative space that brings together students with the wider community. Visitors can see firsthand the various ideas and works developed by students, as well as interact with the young creators behind them.
This year, more than 50 booths enliven the exhibition area. Around 40 of them are works and products developed by SBM ITB students from various levels. The variety of innovations displayed is quite diverse, ranging from food and beverages, fashion, accessories, technology devices, to various other creative services.
For students, this activity is an opportunity to bring ideas that have been developed to a wider space. They can interact directly with visitors, get feedback, and understand how their works and products are accepted by the community.
Meanwhile, visitors are not only invited to see the various products on display, but can also participate in various interactive activities provided at a number of booths. This makes the experience of exploring the exhibition feel more interesting and close to the younger generation.
Apart from the exhibition area, GBF 2026 also presents various educational and inspirational activities. One of them is through a talk show session with Ahmad Dekatama or known as Pasming Based.
Visitors also have the opportunity to attend a financial literacy session that presents various new insights related to financial management.
The atmosphere of the festival was even more lively with the presence of musical performances which for the first time became part of the GBF series. The New Pusat Dunia (NPD) music group performed as one of the main attractions which managed to attract the attention of visitors.
The event was then closed by the performance of Svara Virya, a student music group from SBM ITB, which marked the end of the Ganesha Business Festival 2026 series.
Throughout its implementation, GBF 2026 managed to attract more than 10,000 visitors. This enthusiasm shows the public's great interest in the works, innovations, and creativity that are born from young people.
"This year's GBF 2026 is a space for the community to witness firsthand that technology is not a substitute for humans, but a tool that must be led by creativity, empathy, and human thinking itself. Through business works, research, talkshows, and various performances displayed, we want to show that the human edge will always be relevant and remain the main strength in the era of technological development today," said Naura Tsabita Wibowo, Project Officer Ganesha Business Festival 2026.
Through this festival, students not only get the opportunity to showcase their works and innovations to the public, but also learn to build communication, collaboration, and understand the needs of the community directly. On the other hand, visitors can get closer to various fresh ideas that are born from the younger generation as well as get inspiration from various activities that take place.
In the future, the Ganesha Business Festival is expected to continue to be a space for young people to express themselves, collaborate, and present works that provide benefits for the wider community.
