JAKARTA - All-rounder artist Aldi Taher is making a splash again. This time, he didn't appear with a viral song, but directly joined as an organizer of a culinary event titled the World Burger Festival which was held at Chillax, Sudirman, Central Jakarta, from June 5 to 7.
Aldi expressed his gratitude that the event received appreciation from the government. The reason is, the opening of the festival was attended directly by representatives of related ministries.
"Alhamdulillah today the World Burger Festival at Chillax on June 5, 6, 7 is at Sudirman. Insyaallah it was officially opened by the Minister of Industry," said Aldi Taher in Central Jakarta, not long ago.
For Aldi, his involvement in this event is a new learning process for him as an entrepreneur. He, assisted by his younger brother, Kurnia Taher, to realize a platform for culinary activists.
"Thank you to the journalists for their support. This is actually a gathering of culinary entrepreneurs. I'm still learning to make events, thank God with Mas Kurnia," he continued.
This event itself presents 18 selected local burger tenants through the Grab Puas Food Market program. Melinda Savitri, Country Marketing and Communications Head, Grab Indonesia, said,
"Burgers are one of the food choices that are often ordered and favored by consumers because they are practical, familiar, and continue to grow through various taste innovations," said Melinda Savitri.
"Through the collaboration of Grab Puas Food Market with Aldi Taher, we want to present a culinary experience that makes it easier for consumers to find interesting burger options, while supporting the visibility of culinary business actors in a unique way and relevant to the habits of today's consumers who are increasingly looking for eating inspiration through digital platforms," he continued.
The World Burger Festival series, a collaboration between Aldi Taher and Grab Puas Food Market, also received support from the Ministry of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, who saw the potential of culinary players in driving the growth of creative economy in Indonesia.
"Culinary is one of the creative economy subsectors that is very close to people's lives, as well as having a large innovation space. The World Burger Festival shows how familiar culinary products such as burgers can be creatively packaged, involving many business actors, and become an interesting experience for the public," he explained.
"Collaborations like this are important to strengthen the promotion of local culinary actors, open up wider market opportunities, and encourage creative economies to grow through approaches that are relevant to the community," he concluded.
