JAKARTA - Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Destry Damayanti, was appointed as the Acting Governor of BI after Perry Warjiyo resigned from his position as Governor of BI.
Perry's resignation was conveyed to President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday, July 26.
The Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi explained that according to the provisions in the Bank Indonesia Law, the position of the Governor of BI will automatically be carried out by the Senior Deputy Governor as the Acting Governor.
