The PPRT Law contains 10 basic rights that must be given to domestic workers, namely as follows.

Have a work agreement

The employment contract must be signed by both parties. The agreement must also contain important information ranging from the type of work, wages, as well as the rights and obligations of each party.

Get wages according to the agreement

The wage rights obtained by domestic workers must be in accordance with the agreement contained in the employment contract.

Clear working hours

Another thing that must be obtained by the PRT is the existence of a work time limit according to the agreement. The work time limit must also be stated in the letter of agreement.

Get a break

Domestic workers are entitled to daily rest time that can be used for a break from work so that their health can be maintained.

Get a day off.

Now domestic workers are entitled to a day off. The holiday schedule is regulated according to the agreement of both parties.

Get a leave of absence

If previously there was no leave in domestic work, now workers are entitled to work leave. The leave is granted under certain conditions such as illness or other urgent reasons.

Social security rights

The PPRT Law was passed and at the same time gave domestic workers the right to social security programs. Employers can register PRT at BPJS Health and BPJS Employment.

The right to protection from violence

The rights that must be given to employers are protection from all forms of violence, both physical and psychological in the workplace.

Domestic workers are entitled to humane treatment. In addition, their dignity and privacy must be respected by anyone, especially employers.
