BELU - Singer Piche Kota's chance to get rid of the status of a suspect through the official pre-trial legal path has failed. The Atambua District Court (PN) rejected the lawsuit filed by Piche along with two other suspects, initials RS and RM, regarding the alleged rape of a minor.

The rejection decision was read on Friday, March 13. With the issuance of this decision, the Belu Police ensured that the legal process against the three suspects continued in accordance with the procedures.

Belu Police Chief, AKBP I Gede Ari Astawa, emphasized that after the decision of the PN Atambua, investigators are now focusing on completing the case file which had previously entered phase I at the Prosecutor's Office.

"The essence of the pretrial lawsuit from the suspect (Piche Kota) was rejected by the PN Atambua. Then the investigators continued the investigation that was Phase I at the Prosecutor's Office," said Gede Ari when confirmed, Sunday, March 15.

Gede Ari explained that the legal process was actually not stopped even though there was a pretrial lawsuit. Currently, the police are trying to fulfill the completeness of the file according to the prosecutor's instructions or P19.

His party is committed to moving quickly so that this case can be declared complete (P21) so that it can be immediately tried.

"We are trying as much as possible so that the instructions from the Public Prosecutor (JPU) can be fulfilled immediately so that this case can be declared complete or P21 immediately," he said.
