Haico Van der Veken Reveals Preparation of an Intimate Scene with Maxime Bouttier: There are Boundaries Check

JAKARTA - Actress Haico Van der Veken will act with Maxime Bouttier in the series Bercinta dengan Maut.

In this series, Haico and Maxime will face one of the adult scenes. However, Haico ensures that they have made a series of special preparations to ensure that the intimate scenes they will carry out will run safely and comfortably.

One of the important stages they do is boundaries check.

"We can know from each other where our comfort is, what is allowed, what is not," said Haico in Central Jakarta, Tuesday, January 13.

This process allows each actor to openly communicate what parts of the body or actions make them feel uncomfortable.

"For me this is not possible ... this part," he said, as an example.

In addition to discussions between the actors, they were also accompanied by an Intimacy Coordinator. This professional is tasked with being a mediator and ensuring that all boundaries are respected.

"Their intimacy coordinator's job is to ask us, 'Okay, how comfortable are you with these scenes?'" explained Haico.

Not only about boundaries, the details of movement in each scene are also discussed first. This is to avoid spontaneous movements that can make one party feel surprised or uncomfortable.

Even during the filming that will take place soon, there are strict rules that are enforced. One of them is by limiting the number of crew who can be at the location.

For Haico, all these preparations are very important because intimate scenes are something very personal.

"Moreover, we do it with colleagues, so it must be discussed," he said.

The series Bercinta dengan Maut itself is the first series of Hitmakers which collaborated with the leading OTT platform from China, iQIYI and Telkomsel.
