Read Aurelie's Book, Andien Follow Up to the Time of Living a Toxic Relationship

JAKARTA - Top singer Andien Aisyah recently shared a shocking and touching confession through her personal X (formerly Twitter) social media account.

The singer of the song 'Gemintang' opened up about the dark memory of the violence in the relationship that he had experienced in the past.

This confession began when Andien read the latest memoir by actress Aurelie Moeremans titled Broken Strings. Andien admitted that the story in the book was very relevant to her painful personal experience.

In his tweet, Andien revealed that he had experienced violence in relationships many times. He shared how his mind had been manipulated by his partner until he lost his confidence and self-esteem.

"Reading Aurelie's memoir, I am reminded of the violence in relationships that I have experienced. Many times," wrote Andien, quoted by VOI from the X @andienaisyah account, Tuesday, January 13.

Furthermore, Andien recounted that at that time he was made to believe by his ex-girlfriend that his family's imperfect background was an obstacle to finding happiness.

"I was made to believe that people from a 'dirty' family background like me, are not worthy and should not get a good partner," he continued.

Andien's post immediately garnered a lot of reactions from netizens. Many felt they had a similar experience, where past trauma from the family was often used as a weapon by toxic partners to intimidate.

A netizen with the account @rochmadwi27 also commented on the upload with the same feeling.
