More Than 500 Tons Of Aid Ready To Send Free Shipping For Sumatra Disaster Victims

JAKARTA A number of areas in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra have recently faced floods and landslides. In a quick response and a form of concern for others, freight forwarding companies take an active role by facilitating the delivery of logistical assistance.

M. Feriadi Soeprapto as President Director of JNE emphasized that in the movement 'Moving Together' to care about disasters, his party has always adhered to the values and philosophy of the company since it first stood to share, provide, and unite with the spirit of 'Connecting Happiness'. Through this assistance, it is hoped that this will help alleviate the needs of the affected communities.

"JNE opened a special shipping fee (postage) free service for aid delivery which took place from December 1 to 10, 2025. Thanks to the concern and collaboration of all #TemanJNE throughout Indonesia which mandated assistance to JNE, the total aid distributed reached more than 500 tons. The assistance was distributed in collaboration with Humanitarian Institution Partners in various locations in need," he said in Jakarta, recently.

The release of the logistics fleet was dispatched to disaster locations in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra to be distributed through humanitarian services such as Rumah Zakat, Indonesian Red Crescent (BMSI), Aceh Care DT, North Sumatra Mandiri Yatim, Silangit, North Sumatra Care DT in the Medan area, and West Sumatra Care DT in the Padang area.

The assistance sent is directed at the urgent needs of the affected residents, including basic ingredients, clothes, blankets, and basic medical equipment such as P3K, multivitamins, and essential medicines. JNE itself also contributes and delivers special needs for infants and the elderly, including diapers and milk, as well as the daily hygiene needs of the community (layers, shampoos, and sanitary napkins) as well as JNE contributed tents, generators, medicines and other necessities needed.

"Hopefully our brothers and sisters will be given courage and protection in facing this situation. We will continue to be committed to providing benefits to the community whenever needed," he said.
