JAKARTA Comedy duo couple Andre Taulany and Hesti Purwadinata bring their solid chemistry from the screen to the big screen in Comic 8 Revolution: Santet K4bin3t.

Playing the role of an eternal husband and wife, both of them received the flexibility of director Fajar Bustami to develop dialogue and scenes spontaneously.

In this film, they play Ki Bagus and Nyai Gendhis, two magic shamans who were initially hostile before finally becoming a couple. This dynamic provides space for both of them to explore action scenes, comedy, and drama.

Andre revealed that the director was very open to input from the players.

"Incidentally, our director Fajar Bustami is a really cool person. He can receive input like that. That's why we also improvised a lot of our scenes there," explained Andre in the South Jakarta area, recently.

Hesti added that every improvisation is always discussed in advance. However, he admits there are challenges in balancing comedy spontaneity with film technicality.

"It wants to hold it right away, so it's a surprise right... But what's called a film, there's a repeat, there's a re-take," he said.

In addition to improvising excitement, the two also shared unforgettable moments on set, one of which was when they had to undergo a scene of the match on a remote Mount Kapur.

"It's far away and there's no signal. It's hot, we have to fight action scenes there," said Andre.

The moment became more memorable because Andre was targeted on the way to the location, "The moment that cannot be forgotten, targets me there," he concluded.
