JAKARTA - Netflix released the first trailer for their latest anime series, Trese, on May 21.
Trese follows a figure named Alexandra Trese who fights a number of evil supernatural beings from another world. In the midst of an underground criminal world, Trese is confronted with a myth that is widely discussed.
The series is an adaptation of the popular Filipino graphic novels by Budjette Tan and KaJO Baldisimo. The story takes place in Manila.
Trese's first trailer features various mysterious events in which Trese's character begins to unravel the case one after the other. After that, she sees monsters and supernatural creatures that she has never encountered before.
Trese's anime series is produced by Shanty Harmayn and Tanya Yuson of BASE Entertainment, a studio based in Jakarta and Singapore, who previously worked on the films Perempuan Tanah Jahanam and Guru-Guru Gokil.
