JAKARTA The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Fadli Zon officially opened the Indonesian Cultural Exhibition in the Eastern Region in the 2025 Indonesia-Pacific Cultural Synergy (IPACS) series in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, Tuesday, November 11. Carrying the theme "Celebrating Shared Cultures and Community Wisdom", this activity emphasizes the richness of Eastern Indonesia's culture and the spirit of synergy of the Pacific community.
In his remarks, Fadli Zon emphasized that this exhibition is a tangible manifestation of the collaboration and sustainability of the Indonesian cultural ecosystem. "The IPACS 2025 exhibition is a tribute to cultural heritage that grows in the land of East Nusa Tenggara. This is also a form of Indonesia's commitment to advancing culture as an important force of regional cooperation that unites people throughout the archipelago and the Pacific Ocean," said Menbud Fadli.
He further said that the Pacific region has a strong cultural closeness, especially in maritime expressions inherited by the ancestors. What we are witnessing today is a real synergy between artists, practitioners, and the cultural community of the archipelago and the Pacific. We unite in the vision of advancing culture as a vital force of world civilization," he said.
The Ministry of Culture also features a booth titled The Listening Thread, which presents various narratives and cultural collections from all over Eastern Indonesia. Fadli said the booth became a symbol of the government's commitment to empowering local cultural practitioners.
