JAKARTA - Gong Jun is back in his latest Chinese drama, Blood River. This drama is an adaptation of Zhou Mu Nan's novel Tales of Dark River.

This drama is also played by Peng Xiao Ran, Chang Hua Sen, Yang Yu Tong, Snow Kong, Zhang Si An, and many others.

As the title implies, Blood River tells of the most feared assassination union in the kingdom, which is jointly run by clans Su, Mu, and Xie. They can attack aristocrats in the palace and destroy major sects in the wild.

One day, when the patriarchy is poisoned on a mission, the three clans compete for the top position.

Su Mu Yu (Gong Jun) leads the Spider-Shadow unit and protects dying leaders on the way to healing. He is in conflict with the elder Su Zhe and his longtime friend, Su Chang He (Chang Hua Sen), and meets the main leader Bai He Huai (Yang Yu Tong).

After a brutal struggle for power, Su Chang He became a new patriarch, and Su Mu Yu led the Su clan. They made other plans to drag Blood River out of the shadow and forge a new destiny, free from anyone's grip.

The drama Blood River consists of 38 episodes that air every day on Youku.
