The term six seven first appeared from the song Geet Doot (6 7) by rapper from Philadelphia, Skrilla, which was released in 2024. In the song, the rapper repeatedly mentions six dive, with a distinctive rhythm that eventually goes viral on the internet.

Since then, the term six seven has become a trend, which has been changed into various versions. Starting from funny, strange, to scary ones.

Interestingly, until now no one knows for sure the meaning of the term six seven. The term is considered to have no special meaning, and is referred to as a good number to say and is iconic to be used as a meme.

"It's just a figure that's nice to say, accompanied by cute hand movements, and doesn't mean anything," said TikTok creator Philip Lindsay.

However, for young people, especially Gen Z, it is considered that humor without meaning like a six-seven is actually a fun thing. They enjoy the confusion caused by adults, to become like 'inside jokes' which are only understood by them and fellow internet users.

In addition, this six-seven trend has also penetrated the real world, precisely in several schools in England and America. Students often shout 'six seven' every time they hear the number 67 mentioned in class.

This initially confused some teachers and forbade students to use it. However, there are also teachers who take advantage of the trend of the term to lighten the atmosphere while studying.
