Aurelie Moeremans Curhat Threatened And Slandered After Book Release

JAKARTA Actress and author Aurelie Moeremans shared emotional uploads on her personal Instagram account, revealing the big impact of her book titled Broken Strings, as well as the resistance she faced after daring to speak up.

In the upload, Aurelie said that every day she receives messages from various circles, ranging from survivors, parents, teachers, to young people who feel hopeless.

Many of them claim that the book Broken Strings, which tells of its bitter experiences, has saved their lives.

Many say my book Broken Strings saves their lives. And that's what makes all these struggles feel meaningful," wrote Aurelie, quoted by VOI from the Instagram account @aurelie, Tuesday, October 28.

However, behind this positive impact, Aurelie also revealed the dark side that he had to face. He admitted that he received threats, slander, and blasphemy from the same person who had tricked him when he was 15 years old.

"Even after the book was released, I was threatened, slandered, and blasphemed by people who used to deceive me when I was 15 years old," he said.

"Ironically, the same person also threatens women who dare to support me," continued Aurelie.

Despite facing severe pressure, Aurelie chose to see her struggle from a hopeful side. He felt that past wounds that had been considered a disgrace had now turned into light that gave strength to others.

"But if the wounds that used to be called disgrace can turn into light for others, then all the pain I've experienced is not in vain," he said.

At the end of his message, Aurelie thanked all readers who had felt, cried, were angry, and recovered with her story. He also emphasized his commitment to continue to speak up for the survivors.

"As long as there is still only one person who is touched, your body will not be extinguished," he concluded firmly.
