JAKARTA - A total of 110 paintings of various types were exhibited in the Art Exhibitions Heritage of Life, in Ciputra Artpreneur, Jakarta, starting Friday 24 October. The exhibition, which presents various painting flows initiated by the youth movement through the Cahaya Cita Foundation, collaborates with arts and charity.
The founder of the Cahaya Cita Foundation, Natalie Airlangga Hartarto admitted, the idea of a Jiwa Heritage exhibition emerged when he saw various human backgrounds and their conditions that were unified through art. According to Natalie, various characters of people with background can actually be unified through art.
This is what prompted him and his school class friends at Binus School Simprug to initiated an exhibition to accommodate local artists to show off their works. At the same time, it became a movement that emerged from Generation Z who invited each other to care about others.

"Hopefully we can promote Indonesian culture and heritage, hopefully young people can understand and understand where our culture comes from and hopefully we can make it a good charity," said Natalie Airlangga Hartarto, Friday, October 24.
Natalie stated that there is no age limit for painters to be able to show off their works in Mental Heritage. In fact, there is a 15-year-old painter who showed off his work at the second exhibition held by Cahaya Cita. The first Light Cita exhibition was held a year ago.
Of the 110 paintings, several paintings were sold before the opening. The value of the paintings sold reached Rp. 200 million. If all the paintings were sold in this exhibition, the total value of the rupiah collected was Rp. 2.5 billion. Most of the proceeds from the sale of paintings at this exhibition will be donated to help establish a health clinic in the Cengkareng area, Tangerang.
"We will donate to build a clinic in the cengkareng area and we will hold facilities such as circumcision, such as surgery (operation) for cataracts, and for liping," said Natalie.
Another founder of Cahaya Cita, Barindra Surjaudaja added, apart from helping the underprivileged community, this exhibition is also to help local artists introduce their work in public spaces.
Bari said that many local artists or painters throughout Indonesia still need space to show off their more extensive works.
"With this art exhibition, these local artists are also assisted. There are many local artists throughout Indonesia who still need exposure," said Bari.
The Mental Heritage Exhibition is scheduled to be completed on Sunday, October 26. Meanwhile, Ciputra Artpreneur President Director, Rina Ciputra, who witnessed the opening of the Art Exhibition of Mental Heritage loosened the time so that the exhibition could be held until Tuesday, October 28.
Rina Ciputra admits that she is proud that there is a movement of young people who have the idea of giving stage to local artists as well as helping fellow people in need through the construction of health clinics. According to him, no matter how good a painting is produced by an artist, it means nothing if it cannot be exhibited and widely known.
"I am very happy and I am very moved to see this movement and indeed this is what my late father Pak Ciputra wants, to build Ciputrapreneur's place," said Rina Ciputra.
He hopes that more youth movements will be born that can initiate the same thing in the future. Rina also admitted that there is an open place for artists to present their works.
"This place can be a place for artists to see if they are performers or if they are painters. This place is a place to present their work," said Rina.
