JAKARTA - Nathalie Holscher made her acting debut in Agus Riyanto's latest film, Danyang Wingit: Friday Kliwon. She plays Putri Kusuma Rati who is a royal princess.

Nathalie admitted that she had many challenges to explore this role. Not only being a daughter but also learning sinden and mantra.

My first debut film. Actually, in my first debut, I was a horror film, so once in the first film, horror films are all difficult. I became Putri Sukma Rati who became the daughter of the royal who was pulled back so wayang didn't happen in the future," said Nathalie Holscher at a press conference in South Jakarta on Tuesday, 21 Tuesday.

"The challenge is to shoot until dawn, to memorize the sinden and the mantra is good in Javanese, it's hard to go slowly," he said.

Not alone, he learned the mantra in Javanese assisted by actor Whani Darmawan who was his co-star in this film.

"About the mantra being assisted by Mr. Whani, and I had a strange incident after filming," continued Nathalie.

"I learned myself after finishing filming back at the hotel checking the sound of gamelan but it wasn't there," said Nathalie Holscher.

Director Agus Riyanto also had time to think about it after reading the script from Dhirmawan Hatta. At first, he was not interested in working on this film until he started thinking about this story.

"I'm confused about how when I wake up, I read the script, how come it's like it's in my mind. When I was in Jogja, I almost hit Solo because those scenes were in my mind," said Agus Riyanto.

Meanwhile, the film Danyang Wingit will be released in Indonesian cinemas starting November 20, 2025.
