Visiting The Palestinian Refugee Camp In Cairo, Ivan Gunawan Sees The Victim's Condition

JAKARTA - Renowned designer Ivan Gunawan shared his experience of providing direct assistance to Palestinian war victims in Cairo and Egypt.

This assistance was taken by Ivan Gunawan after he managed to get a profit of Rp. 2 billion from the sale of headscarves from brands that worked with him.

"Yes, so if for example I just returned from Cairo, from Egypt. So thank God I can be a mandate from the brand I have. So yesterday we had the chance to sell headscarves from being bought by almost 25,000 exhibition visitors who attended and we managed to collect Rp 2 billion," said Ivan Gunawan in the South Jakarta area, Tuesday, September 23.

Ivan Gunawan admitted that while in Cairo and Egypt he had the opportunity to visit one of the evacuation camps for Palestinian victims and their hospital.

"So yesterday I went to Cairo to distribute the donation. So there are a lot of agendas that I did there," said Ivan Gunawan.

"One of them is visiting a Palestinian hospital, and it's been like that when I went to a refugee camp, then I went to a food warehouse, that's it," he continued.

At this moment, Ivan Gunawan can see firsthand the condition of the victims while in the refugee camps.

"So I did a lot of things there. So the situation of the Palestinian war victims in Cairo is really felt," he concluded.
