Menbud Fadli Zon Sambut Fremantle Indonesia: This Is The Way For World Stage Culture Promotion

JAKARTA Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Fadli Zon received a Fremantle Indonesia audience at the Ministry of Culture Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 16. This meeting discussed the plan to organize the 2026 Asia's Got Talent (AGT) which was first produced in Indonesia and opportunities for the use of national cultural wealth for global promotion.

Arif Soeliscane, General Manager of Production and Content Fremantle, explained that this production house has been presenting popular programs for more than 30 years such as Indonesian Idol, X Factor, Family 100, Super Deal, and Take Me Out. He emphasized that AGT is a successful format in 72 countries with a reach of more than 1 billion world viewers. Production in Indonesia is scheduled to start March 2026, with eight episodes including the grand final.

Jakarta will be the center of audition. Fremantle is finalizing the grand final location plan on cultural sites, including Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Bali or Prambanan Yogyakarta Temple. This choice is expected to provide a magnificent setting as well as showcase Indonesia's cultural wealth.

Arif added, AGT 2026 will showcase Indonesian traditional arts, music, dance, and regional clothing as well as international judges. This event will be a social phenomenon that places Indonesia as the center of Asian culture and entertainment, while strengthening soft diplomacy," he said.

Minister Fadli Zon appreciated this plan. "The opportunity to introduce Indonesia to the Asian and world stage is in line with the vision of the Ministry of Culture," he stressed.
