Giorgio Armani died at the age of 91. The news of his death was announced by the Armani fashion house through a public statement.

"With deep sadness, the Armani Group announced the death of the creator, founder, and tireless driver: Giorgio Armani," the fashion house said, quoted by The Independent, on Friday, September 5, 2025.

According to the statement, Giorgio Armani died peacefully. He is surrounded by those closest to him and loved by his final time.

"Today, with deep emotions, we feel the void left by him who founded and fostered this family with vision, passion, and dedication," he continued.

The exact cause of Giorgio Armani's death is not yet known, but over the past few months his health has indeed decreased. He was even forced to miss Milan Men's Fshion Week in June 2025.

This moment was the first time in Giorgio's career he was not present at the fashion event. However, at that time he still followed the online fashion show at his home.

Meanwhile, the Armani fashion house also announced that Giorgio Armani's morgue would be open to the public on Saturday, September 6, 2025 to Sunday, September 7, 2025.
