Adhitya Alkatiri Finds The Meaning Of True Love Because Films Are More Than Forever

JAKARTA Actor Adhitya Alkatiri admitted that he was amazed and touched when he first read the script for the film More Than Forever.

According to him, the love story raised in this film feels so sincere and rare, especially in the midst of the widespread issue of infidelity that often adorns news and fictional stories.

"Honestly, from the first time I was called for casting, I was sent a synopsis. I read the script for the scenario, it got goosebumps," said Adhitya to reporters.

"I'm just looking at this scenario, isn't it true that in real life there are characters like Salim and his partner ?," he continued.

His curiosity made Adhitya immediately ask the storywriter about the source of the story. Apparently, the story in More Than Forever comes from the true story of the writer's family.

"The writer said the story came from his family, his grandparents. I said, 'Ah, I think this is really good, really sweet. It's really cool'," continued Adhitya Alkatiri.

For Adhitya, this film is a reminder that true love still exists in the real world, although rarely found.

"Hopefully one day I can become a Salim, who really loves his partner very sincerely," he said.

In this film, Adhitya plays the character Arga, the couple of Pak Salim's son. He described Arga as a good person, romantic, and caring, a little similar to Salim. Even so, he admits that there is a big difference between Arga and himself.

"For me, the person is a bit indifferent, relaxed. If the Arga is neat, he looks polite," said Adhitya with a laugh.

More Than Forever will be shown in theaters starting August 28, 2025. Adhitya hopes this film can inspire viewers to believe that a sincere relationship is still possible.

"If you guys are bored with the stories of infidelity, now is the time to watch this film. We will see that true love really exists," he concluded.
