Not Just Emotions, Ruben Onsu Struggles For The Sake Of Digital Traces And The Good Name Of Children In The Future

The legal struggle taken by Ruben Onsu regarding the alleged bullying of his daughter, Thalia Putri Onsu, turned out to have a long-term goal that was much deeper than just retaliation for the perpetrator's actions.

Ruben admitted that he took this step to maintain the good name and digital footprint of his son, so that in the future the child could see that his father had fought for him.

Ruben is well aware that the impact of cyber bullying is not only felt at this time, but also in the future, when digital traces become eternal.

"It's just that what I'm guarding is the impact after this, that's it. Yes, in the future, that trail will not disappear, it's a digital footprint. So, for me here, what I will do is everything for him in the future," said Ruben.

This noble goal was also agreed by his attorney, Minola Sebayang, who said that this was a form of a father's struggle.

"So that one day, if there are digital traces, he sees that there are irresponsible perpetrators who want to bully him ... So he will see how his parents struggle to ... what, fight for his good name not to be defamed," explained Minola.

Ruben's main focus in this case is purely for the benefit of the child.

"Yes, it must be supportive. But here I am in the context of the child. That's right, yes. It's more about the child and him, because he just brought a photo of my child, right," concluded Ruben.

Previously, presenter Ruben Onsu finally took firm legal steps against social media accounts that had spread slander and bullied his family.

Through his attorney, Minola Sebayang, Ruben officially reported the owner of Vina Run's account to Polda Metro Jaya with multiple articles that carries a penalty of up to 8 years in prison.

Minola Sebayang confirmed that the report had been received and would soon be processed by the police.

"Today our report has been received. The process must go through the stage of the case title first whether there is sufficient evidence and it turns out that everything we are doing today can be accepted. It was given a recommendation by the ditsiber and then we can make a report today," said Minola Sebayang at Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday, July 31.

This report was made after the account continuously posted false information containing elements of slander and bullying of minors.

"So earlier I accompanied Ruben Onsu to report the owner of Vina Run's account. We have known for the past few days that it has been posting, transmitting information that is not true, contains elements of defamation, slander, lies, bullying to minors," he continued.
