Report Continues Even Though There Is Sorry, Ruben Onsu: This Has Entered The Children's Field

Presenter Ruben Onsu shows firmness without compromise in the case of bullying that befell his son.

After being examined as a reporting witness at Polda Metro Jaya, Ruben emphasized that the legal process would continue, even if the reported party apologized, because this issue had already involved the pride of his son.

When asked whether the legal process would continue, Ruben answered straightforwardly. "Continue," said Ruben Onsu at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday, August 11.

For him, the actions taken by the reported account have crossed the limit that can be tolerated.

"Yes, because they have entered the realm of children, yes. And continue to bully children. And he did that, not once or twice, there have been too many posts. So, yes, what he did, yes, he must be responsible," said Ruben.

Ruben also ensured that there would be no peace in the legal process, although he personally obliged to forgive. He separates personal matters and legal consequences that must be faced by the perpetrators.

"No. Nothing. Yes, I want to apologize, I'm still reporting, I still have to continue," he said when asked about the communication from the reported party.

"If you're sorry, it's mandatory. We must be human, yes, forgive. But if it's a legal case, then I want it to continue according to the procedure."

Previously, presenter Ruben Onsu finally took firm legal steps against social media accounts that had spread slander and bullied his family.

Through his attorney, Minola Sebayang, Ruben officially reported the owner of Vina Run's account to Polda Metro Jaya with multiple articles that carries a penalty of up to 8 years in prison.

Minola Sebayang confirmed that the report had been received and would soon be processed by the police.

"Today our report has been received. The process must go through the stage of the case title first whether there is sufficient evidence and it turns out that everything we are doing today can be accepted. It was given a recommendation by the ditsiber and then we can make a report today," said Minola Sebayang at Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday, July 31.

This report was made after the account continuously posted false information containing elements of slander and bullying of minors.

"So earlier I accompanied Ruben Onsu to report the owner of Vina Run's account. We have known for the past few days that it has been posting, transmitting information that is not true, contains elements of defamation, slander, lies, bullying to minors," he continued.
