Six luxury watches belonging to actor Keanu Reeves have been returned after being found in a raid on Chile's Santiago, Chile. Authorities in Chile announced on Tuesday, July 29 that the items would be handed over to the FBI (United States Federal Investigation Bureau).

One of the watches found was Rolex Submariner which had been specially carved, with a minimum value of 9,500 US dollars or Rp. 156 million. Overall, the value of the six watches is estimated at 125 thousand US dollars or Rp. 2 billion.

This information was conveyed by a member of the Chilean police robbery investigation unit to the Associated Press (AP) news agency.

The Chile prosecutor's office said that Keanu Reeves, a 60-year-old actor known for the film The Matrix, had identified the watch as his previously reported stolen from his home in Los Angeles in December 2023.

CNN became the first media to report the watch was discovered in the eastern region of Santiago in December 2024. At that time, authorities detained one person suspected of being involved in a series of violent robberies.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation and Intervention Brigade managed to confiscate various jewelry, luxury watches, and other stolen items in the raid on badminton, including a watch belonging to a well-known film actor, a victim of a robbery in Los Angeles in December 2023," Chile's Police Investigation (PDI) wrote in a translation post on platform X (formerly Twitter), quoted from the People page.

In the video released by AP, there is a carving on the back of the Rolex Submariner. It says The John Wick Five on behalf of Keanu, as well as Thank You JW4 2021, referring to the film John Wick: Chapter 4 which was produced in 2021.

Previously, it was reported that Keanu Reeves was known to often give his stuntman a luxury watch as a form of appreciation.

"Best prize of all time," wrote stuntman Jeremy Marinas in his Instagram Story upload while showing off the Rolex photo.

Police found the watches during raids on several houses in Santiago. In addition, they also confiscated stolen cars, iPhones, other luxury watches, and branded bags.

According to an AP report, the operation coincided with a separate investigation in Chile coordinated with the FBI, which targeted a criminal group from South America that stole from luxury homes in the United States.

In February, seven Chilean nationals were charged with theft at the homes of two well-known NFL players, namely Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce of Kansas City Chiefs.

Even so, Marcelo Varas of the robbery investigation team told AP that until now there has been no direct evidence linking Reeves' watch theft to other major theft cases.

This is not the first time Keanu Reeves' house has been the target of a break-in. On September 12, 2014, police responded to reports of a robbery at Reeves' home at around 5 a.m.

Although no items were missing, a woman in her 40s was secured and taken to a medical facility for evaluation. Reeves was reportedly at home at the time of the incident.

Just three days later, another woman was reported to have entered her house and was found swimming in the pool when the police arrived at around 10 am.
